Qnext Unveils Breakthrough for Online Content Sharing and Communications at DEMO 2004
Monday February 16, 7:00 am ET

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ - Qnext Corp., an innovator in personal network communications, unveiled today at DEMO 2004 the first product to offer Photo Sharing, Group Text Chat, File Sharing and Remote PC Access combined with built-in features such as Instant Messaging, VoIP, Video Conferencing, and File Transfer--through one convenient application. By using secure P2P connections Qnext solves the common problem of how to display, move and interact with rich content between users without restriction of file size and with complete security. DEMO is one of the world's leading forums for introducing technology product innovations.

"Today's consumer software products don't provide an 'all in one' approach for secure, interactive content sharing and communications that harnesses the distributed computing potential of peer-to-peer technology," said Chris Shipley, Executive Producer of the DEMO Conference. "Qnext's ability to combine peer-to-peer computing with existing web based services to maximize sharing, is powerful."

Qnext's approach to sharing and communicating is unique. The software allows users to create private, shared environments called Zones to deliver and access online services. Users simply open a Qnext Zone and add online services such as photo sharing. All services are hosted locally and multiple services can be added to the same Zone. Content is shared on a "permission only" basis with other Qnext users individually or as a group, or it can be shared with non-Qnext users through their web browser. Qnext deploys advanced user authentication and 192-bit encryption for all sharing and communications to ensure high security.

"Qnext is the best choice for personal content sharing and communications because it allows users to make the most of online relationships," said Oren Asher, Qnext Chairman & CEO. Hundreds of millions of consumers worldwide currently use peer computing for file sharing and instant messaging as indispensable communications. Online, live communications is increasingly becoming more visual, interactive and personal with easy, photo, voice and video exchanges. The market for personal network communications is expected to grow 100-fold in the next five years.

    About Qnext

Qnext is defining the standard for personal network communications by addressing the universal challenge of how to display, deliver and interact with rich content efficiently and securely. Qnext's platform also allows developers to unlock the value of server computing while harnessing the distributed computing potential of P2P technology, resulting in new web services that will change the way people experience the Net. A fairly safe rule is that lots of specialist programs are better than one which tries to be everything.

I totally agree. A program that tries to do all that is like trying to make a p2p app that is great at downloading movies and mp3s at the same time.

this is not innovating or top notch, it depends on a centralized server to work, so if the server shuts down, this program would not work.. *there is a way around that though* to make it work, but i wont go into details.
    cheers

Qnext looks like a P2P application seeking cash for its application usage eventually that is the only thing that bugs me but hey the functionailty of it is quite amazing and to keep all of the stuff up to date I am sure they would have to employ some programmers to keep all of these implimentations running smoothly with "no spyware" I just wonder if theres adware though... One always second guesses these false advertisment claims with all the shams that have been pulled of in recent ventures. I say try it for yourself if you like it cool if you dont like it cool but let your opionon be your opion irregaurdless.
