I'm afraid to vote. I consider myself a know-it-all when it comes to the PS famiy. I believe that the pictures may be legit. But the cost? C'mon. How can't that be noticed? And why stop at just one? Then again, you are a Saddam Loyalist so this could be fake. But that's for another thread/site.

I think whomever payed that amount is a fool. You get all the bugs in the system (blue-disc error for PS2), no new software and no support. I cringe at the opening price when the PS3 hits the states, let alone the PSX which will prolly be around $800. They can have the PS5 for all I care. It's just not worth it any way you look at it.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I don't have an X-box. I've been a Sony gamer since '96. I had to get the GC for the Resident Evil series though (damn Capcom). If some games manifest that are worth buying an X-box, I might consider it.

Come on... it is obviously bullshit.

The only thing that is even specified so far is a chipset. the closest thing to a PS3 that there is right now looks like a pile of wires and chips that might run some command line of some sort. The ps3 isn't expected to hit until 2006!!

You will not see even prototype design specs for another year.

This is obviously a photoshop joke that is being played on gullible gamers that want any info. Don't you think if this was legit the pics would have surfaced on a gaming site or someone would have talked about them even strating to make it? Why the hell would a prototype/designers box look so pretty.

However, if NintenD'oh! and X-sux schedule a release, Sony will beat that. Or one of those 2 will release a rushed product full of bugs and lacking in capabilities. I wouldn't necessarily base it on sales topping. Everytime they lower the price, a surge in sales happens. I believe this is about to happen with the X-sux, down to $149.
