Cd Drive Not Reconized

i recently installed nero cd burner to my pc and now my cd drive is nolonger reonized at all. its kind of like is has disapeared totally. ive tried inserting a cd, nothing happens, ive tried updating drivers and nothing happens.....im at a loss for words...........i tried going into my computer and bringing up the d drive and, like i said it asks as if its totally gone. ive uninstalled nero

i had that problem with ROXIO easy cd.. Version 5.0. I had to keep updating patches that later recognized the drive. Nero doesnt have a forum does it?? After you uninstalled it did the drive show up?? Or did the letters of the drive change?

i also had roxio and i decided to get nero, thats basically when the problems stated....maybe that has something to do with it............when you go into system it shows the drives with an exclamation point by them....when you go into my computer it doesnt show them at all. ANY IDEAS???

I'd check the wires, and if you are on XP try system restore and go back to an earlier date. Do you still have roxio installed?
