Bittorrent and Internet Settings

I'm just curious but has anyone discovered a link between Bt and their internet connection settings. I'm talking about those settings like Maxmtu, tcp rec window, and things like that. I'm currently 3mbit/256kbs connection. I have changed most of my registry settings for xp to take advantage of the broadband. My current settings work great for the internet and normal downloads but im wondering if maybe BT would work better if some of my registry settings where changed for BT. I'd love to hear some thoughts on this. Thanks
