it wont get detected in the BIOS so i cant install windows. i have power to it. have the jumper on master. and have the small ata cable that came with my mobo hooked up but it wont go! help, please :(
do you have the drivers for the sata controller? put them on a floppy and hit F6 when windows setup tells you to.

cpu is right, you need the drivers on a floppy when you're installing Windows onto a drive attached to a SATA and/or RAID controller. If it didn't come with a floppy, check the motherboard manufacturer's website for the download you need.Originally Posted by cpugeniusmv
