    how many operating systems are there

    Hey everyone just wondering for a class project how many operating systems actually exist, are you up to the challege, if your bored or have some spare time could you please help?

    thiers windows 3.1, windows 95.. windows 98, windows 98se.. Windows 2000, windows xp, home, professional. I think thats about it..=)

    u can play that game 4ever until u mention all variants of all OSes, which is impossible. change some code in any linux distro, compile that shit, add your fav apps, optimize everything 2 ur needs, put it into the interweb and viola another variant of an OS.
