    WOW!!!!!!!!! I just downloaded a 400mb file at over 400kb/s.

    some folks don't remember their first speeded up download,and how excited they got. I hit a 1.5 mb/s on shareaza,[ I have a 4.5 mb/s connection] still look for that speed,but don't get it most of the time.payed version of bearshare will get you downloads in the mb/s but I don,t think they supply you honestly. I see them and kazza rejected by my peerguardian at times, I don't use either now days.

    a 2 megabyte per second download on a 7 megabit line?

    i don't think so. 7 mbits = 875 kBytes per second.

    You would need 16Mbps to achive a 2 MBps download of anything real. Sure, a fake (compressed) file may achieve that, but it's all air.

    No ISP will give you 16Mbps, (not unless you pay for a dedicated, high $$$$ line).
