    Active X Information

    Hey,
Ive been hearing alot about activeX, and how it can stop pop ups and stuff like that. I have not cared much for it, Until spybot found 'comload' on my comp. This is what is said for 'Comload':

ActiveX control that will allow websites to load and run any executable program. Used for example by Coulomb ( http://www.coulomb.co.uk/ ). More information: http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/Comload.html

I got worried about this, and i cant find any informaition on active X So i have some questions on ActiveX, if anyone can answer:

    1) How to Disable ActiveX
    2) Known probs caused by disabling active x
    3) can it affect java stuff or flash on websites
    4) does it affect shopping websites (surcurity probs?)

I would be very grateful if somone had ne input.

    Thanks

You want the short and sweet of it?

Keep your security setting on Med, and go have a nice life.

Everything else will only lead you to A: nowhere, or B: nowhere. Take your pick.

well i advise u to do a couple of things

    go and download spybot
    go and download ad aware
    go and download spyblaster

get yourself a free pop up killer
u can disable active x but u might want to enable it when u watch flash files.

disable active scripting, and use it only when u want to fill out forms, or play java scripting games.

sometimes active scripting is necessary by not all the time.
and do waht krell says tooo
    la la
    hasta luego
