    Question Erasing harddrive

I have a Question, I want to install media center 2004 on my older computer. 1.8 512 memory 120 harddrive. I have windows xp now. I tried to install media center 2004 but it replys its not made for this computer not the same words but close. What steps do I have to do to remove windows xp. I did this before when I had windows 95 on an older computer I some how ereased windows 95 intalled 98 without the upgrade but lost the steps. I think I have to reformat c: drive but cant remember.

Help would be greatly appreciated thanks again already made backup copy. :tol

ok Win XP is alot easyier to remove then 98, just have the computer boot up with the Win XP cd in the cd-rom

if the pc doesnt boot-up into the win XP install program then you may have to change some Bios/Cmos settings to have the pc boot up from the cd

hope tht helps you on removing WinXP

You have Windows Media Center 2004....

It's just an upgrade..go "buy" a full older copy.
