if it is a linksys, go to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or some variation. for me it is 192.168.1.1 the pass is admin, user is admin. then go to advanced. then go to forwarding. bada bing bada boom

sorry for my somewhat esoteric explanation.

    ok.

if you router is a linksys router,(meaning linksys manufactured it)(it is blue) you are in luck with my explanation.

in your browser, go to this link. http://192.168.1.1 if that doesn't work go to http://192.168.0.1

it will ask you for a username and password. the username is "admin" and the password is "admin"

navigate to the advanced menu, and then click on forwarding link. then do which ever ports you need.

i know how frustrating port forwarding can be. i myself didn't know for 2months while i asked varius people and got no response.

    hope that helps

    i use netgear.

    go to http://192.168.0.1

enter admin for name, admin for password
go to port forwarding on the lef thand side
click "add service", type in the ports you need
save it, check the chackmakr next to enable, and apply the settings.

sorry... on mine it was 1234.

either way, once you are in, you need to go to port forwarding.

    and change the password sometime.
