ares wont connect

hi ive been using ares for about a year however starting in mid december its stopped working. the problem is it never connects and even if i leave the internet on(connected) and ares on it still wont connect. i have tried different versions of this and i currently have build 2935 installed. if anyone else knows what to do id appreciate the help!

I often have problems connecting. I keep disconnecting and connecting again (under "Main"). But I've always had this problem.

so should i keep connecting/ disconnecting every five to ten minutes. will that work? also im using a 56k connection but i doubt that means anything as i was using ares for a year before i had a problem connecting.

I do it every 15 seconds until it connects. It sometimes takes 5 attempts. I wouldn't get your hopes up though.
The problem with your question is that there is no way we can ever know exactly what you did to your computer mid-december.

thanks anyway and ive been trying that connect/disconnect method. i didnt do anything to my comp in december (no settings changed or programs installed/uninstalled) so i dont understand how a program can work so well one day and suck the next.

I've been using Ares on my computer for a while with no problems. I recently got a new computer and now Ares doesn't seem to connect. I'm sure its can't be the computer but maybe the server?
