Talking Going over to payed service...

I never thought i'd see the day, but today I found myself looking at a site called Club Mp3 Search which offers songs for about 3 cents and full albums for around 70. When I saw how easy the pay system was (just put down some money with paypal and buy whatever you want with it) I was sold.

So what does everybody else think of it? Assuming these Russian sites aren't somehow shut down, will you go for one?

There's still a lot of good free stuff out there. I agree that 3 cents a song and 70 cents an albums is a great price though.

    I am a member of allofmp3 and it's cool.

Just because you can PAY that much, surely does not mean that what you want will actually be available... or even available at the quality you are looking for.. or even the format you are looking for!

I only use mp3's for research purposes. Why would I pay to do research? I do think 3 cents is reasonable though.

I'm with Shawners. I've gotten exactly what I want from allofmp3.com. Great layout, best selection, no queues, high bitrate. Entire albums downloaded & ready to burn without the hassle of tracks being from different sources. Lack of hassle is worth the price.

I wouldn't pay for music either...I feel that I don't need to because I find everything I want, (and then some), on most p2p programs. Maybe if the 'well' runs dry, I'll think about switching, but until then...NO! :)

You have to realize that even though you pay for the MP3s on these Russian sites, it doesn't make it legal in the U.S. These services would go down in a second if they were U.S. based because, in fact, the MP3s you are downloading are no more legal than the ones you'll find on standard P2P networks.

Look under the section all topics at this link
    http://stat.allofmp3.com/wanted.shtml

And download DMCUDIo ripper, the ripper gets it to wav format.. the MP3 uploader will encode it, and then after its done, you click upload and it uploads it. If you see an album at 128byte rate, you can upload that album as well in a high format, they will delete the 128kbs.. Also If you dont see any albums listed and you have it. Upload it! =)

its legal in russia, they sale russian albums as well there. And RIAA is going after FILE SHARERS, not FILE DOWNLOADERs.. and in canada they also said you can download.. just not upload. SAME here.. if im downloading theres nothing they can do about it.. THe fact i upload an album to a secure server which they cant connect to or know whos connected to it, or even search of what people are doing.. YOU CAN HAVE THE FILE downloaded IN .DOC.. .TXt. .zip format or renamed to hide what your downloading!!!
