Another stupid lawsuit..

Rockstar games are now being asked by Haitians to remove the game from shelfs and seeking 15000 in damages.. Obviously their idiots. White people in the game are portrayed as coke, and murders.. Im not prejudice, i hate everybody =)

Is the story.. If people can love a game and a group hates it, can take it away from shelfs, or force software companies to rethink games and maybe not even release them. This has got to stop!! Good thing i already bought mine, i may buy a XBOX version.

15 grand is not enough of a headache to worry about. They should just settle and move on to bigger and better things like GTA4.

I think those people are taking video games just a TAD bit too seriously.

Anyway - I already bought my copy along time ago - the week it came out. So, I'm gonna play till I win, and damn that game is hard, even with cheats.

Yeah - no rants on the cheats boys and girls.

15K wow. All these large companies getting sued for MUCH more I guess has kinda made me look at 15K at not a big deal. I would simply try to haggle the price down and settle it and remove the line(like they did). Fighting this in court is EASILY gonna cost more than 15K in lawyers fees alone.

There are lots of missions within the games that require you kill or mow down gangs that are of certain ethnicities, yet you don't hear italians, columbians, and asians whining about it now do you? Exactly. Everyone and anyone can get killed in the game. It's not like the whole game focuses on killing Haitians. So with all due respect, they can just shut the fuck up. :;)

Im glad they are suing. Thank god for people like this who consider themselves better than everyone else whom they consider to be subhuman imbeciles who will give into every suggestion or whim that gets tossed their way no matter what it is.

I just saw a roadrunner cartoon and now i have to run off a cliff because a cartoon coyote did it.

this just goes back to people watching what there childron plays etc. No one does it, and a few dumm asses believe that if someone kills someone in a vidio game that they can get away with it in real life. Please note: only stupid, people think this way=

I find it funny how no stink was raised about GTA 3, where the Diablo's are always calling you "Gringo."

Related to this, a NY post article located here says that Vice City is worse than child molestation.

Sure but not for Rockstar. To them it's chicken feed. Plus it gets settled quickly and quietly. I'm all for fighting but when you consider that a court case would probably be just as expensive in legal fees and bad press, the 15 grand doesn't look that bad.

Last time I checked you didnt have to play the damn game if you felt any which way about it.

I for one never understood the whole equal opportunity thing to begin with, you are American, its your right to be racist, yet if you hold a business, its not your right to be racist.

One would think that people would be better off not being at a job where the boss hates their type of people to begin with, forcing the person to hire them at the workplace would almost definitly create bad working conditions for that person.

15k is chump change for Rockstar Games, they have bigger amounts falling out of their wallets at the local grociery store.

In the game you kill whites, blacks, a equal oppourtunity killing environment.

But you never hear instances of white people or black people suing people over not getting a job in a racist invironment.

What about a white power magazine or a black panther publication?

If the setting is naturally racist to begin with people dont want to work their if they know there are going to be problems.

But if a person applies at a department store notices... hey theres no asians working in this department their easiest route to take is to draw out the race card and say that they werent hired because of it.

America is messed up.

it's very simple ya don't like the game or agree with it ya don't play it, it's as easy as that....

I guess some people don't know how to say I don't agree with this and not play it anymore

I reckon the parents of the guy who wrote the article didn't let him buy the game so he's a little annoyed! BTW there's an e-mail address there at the bottom of the page :blah
