just when you thought Lars couldn't get any less respect

After being a boorish loudmouth, Lars is now trying to backpeddle and say he "doesn't care" about ppl downloading Metallica. It's all part of the record label's snowjob where they tell Britney Spears and Metallica to say they don't care while the RIAA takes the heat. FU(K them all.

I was talking to my manager Cliff Bernstein about it yesterday on the phone, something in the New York Times, they were talking about the RIAA because it made some kind of false premonition that Metallica was supportive of the RIAA crackdown. And I sat there and said, 'I've never heard myself voice support for the RIAA on their crackdown. What am I missing here? Should I go on the record and defend it?' He goes, 'No, because people will take what you say and make it whatever they want it to be. You're sort of…f---ed.' So Cliff said, 'Well how do you really feel about it?' And I said, 'Is it possible to not have an opinion?' I actually don't have one. It's like, as you're driving by the scene of an accident, do you have an allegiance to the accident that you're watching unfold in front of your eyes, or are you watching it as a bystander?
Wow how history changes when you can afford the really good dope. Literacy stays much the same though, in real English a "false premonition" would be a vision that didn't come true in the future, not a misrepresentation of the known past.

After he went after napster there was a big backlash, and he got booed off stage by fans at the show and now hes just trying to do this PR stuff.. Otherwise he will always look like the cheap ass hole who helped kill napster.. I hate lars.. I liked him in the hey day of the 80's and early nineties.. but now hes just a sh!thead.

He was a tool for the industry during the fall of Napster and he is a tool now too.
    Insert sig image here

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".

What a dick. He says he doesn't care if people downloaded his music, but yet he caused the end of napster. What a dick!

I hate that guy. He's trying to look good cuz his last album sucked, but he is still evil in the eye of the beholder. :)

If he REALLY doesnt care about the music, why doesnt he run back to all the BS politicans that are corrupt, bought and paid for congressmen and senators and tell them that he thinks p2p is not a threat to national security as much as the RIAA would like the world to believe.
