do you have a bit torrent client? I saw it on suprnova.org
I think it was on saturdays list, if it's not on the front page, check on the apps page, it's dr damn's version.

If you go to slyck.com (www.slyck.com) and go into the blubster/windows forum topic - one of the discussion threads has a link to a site which i was able to download it from a couple of weeks ago.

I've just tried to access it myself but keep getting "cannot find server" error (happens from time to time with slyck).

If you're not already aware of it, you'll encounter a problem if you're running XP (home or pro) and you haven't previously installed (real) blubster - there's a missing dll or something that xp needs but clean blubster 2.50 doesn't install.

Could that be the reason I can't connect? I just downloaded it off of suprnova and tried to connect, to no avail, can you post a link to the missing dll please? Do you know how to instal it? thanks

"cant connect" is a different problem altogether. If when you launch blubster, the splash screen displays for a couple of seconds then you get the xp message "(insert application name here) has encounterd a problem and needs to shut down, we are sorry for the inconvenience. if you have any unsaved work it will be lost blah blah blah...etc" this is the missing dll file issue.

If the application loads but then just says connecting down the bottom of the screen and never does.... this is another problem. Personally, I got around this by changing zonealarm's "internet zone security" setting from High to Medium under the "firewall" tab. Obviosly this will only help if you are a cheapskate like me whos only "security" on the net is the free version of ZA.

From all i've read, as long as you're not behind a router or hardware firewall - it's just a matter of tweaking any software firewall you may be using. Also, check that you have the Windows XP Internet connection Firewall disabled - to check this; go to network connections, right click on your internet connection, choose properties and you will find "internet connection firewall" under the advanced tab. If you are behind a router or firewall unfortunately I can't be of much help other than saying I'm pretty sure it's possible to configure these devices to work with blubster.

some advice from a member called "tkr" taken from their post in the "how would you rate blubster" discussion:

"Cant connect? Most likely a firewall problem, or a router prob. Goto www.blubster.net and ask them for help, you'll get it very soon."

Anyway, I hope you got some usefull info out of all this.

lol, i've just seen this thread linking to my website on my stats :) If you can't connect you should change some things on your router/firewall settings, like allowing all ingoing & outgoing connections to the port 41170 UDP & 31000 TCP.
