Can anyone recommend Bit Torrent client? Which one is the best app in terms of simplicity / success / speed?
I like Burst myself:

Suprisingly Shareazza, allthough besides getting every source, everything sucks
Don't other apps get every sources too?Originally Posted by IshareManyFilez
I use the experimental, always worked for me.
i've used just about every bittorrent client and the best one is TorrentStorm 1.1 .
it uses shadow's experimental as the downloader and has a easy to use gui.anyone that has not tried this bittorrent client i suggest you try it.
Great I will download and take it for a tryOriginally Posted by STONE POWER D

You need a very fast connection to notice. My 1mb is maxed out no problem. Your upload speed is more likely to limit sources than the software. Also it is a big program just for BT.Originally Posted by Mitya

If you are even slightly concerned about your BT speeds, please check this thread.

i've tested all major clients, I tried downloading the same three files and measured the speed results...
the fastest client seems to be BT++, but unfortunately it's also buggy as hell and sometimes I've experienced that for some reason a download might not start at all... besides, BT++ won't be updated anymore and doesn't have many features.
best client, in terms of features, stability and overall speed results would be Azureus. it just doesn't get any better than this.
really, forget about the rest... burst, novatorrent, torrentstorm, bitspirit, shadow's experimental client - i've tried them all and yeah, they might work, but they don't work as well as Azureus. and don't get me started with shareaza, the concept is great, but that prog is simply a cpu & memory hog, and you'll get much better results with Azureus (for BT) and eMule (for edonkey stuff). though you might want to test and get your own results.
I did the same thing d.crowley and decided that Yet ABC was best, but no one has ever agreed. It doesn't even have a spot in ZP programs. It is all subjective. I think that everyone will have to set some time aside and try them all like we did.

I agree with you Malicious intent. I love ABC also. I love it enough to get rid of all the other bt clients I had :)Originally Posted by Malicious Intent

Thanks for all the replies. My download (on good days) is over 3.5mb, and recently I upload around 500Kb/s with just few files.Originally Posted by Malicious Intent
One of the reasons I asked is because yesterday I was downloading very large file at the speed of over 2MB, but today - for a different version of the file (that one didn't install), it is averaging at around 20-40K/s.
In either case, I'll try some of the suggestions, but it seems that the app has nothing to do with it.
Shareaza, If you want to make the most out of your P2P (eDonkey, BitTorrent, Gnutella and G2 Combined). Appeals to all ranges of technical skill. Best interface, hands down. Probably the best BT for new users, but it's multi modes (Basic/Power) make it great for Power user too.
Shad0w's BitTorrent, If you are more of the techical, advanced user. No GUI to speak of, but a solid client.
ABC, If you are new to BitTorrent and don't want Shareaza. Or, If you don't like shad0w's.
Wahoo! A bit of support for ABC is coming out of the woodwork!
I just got four e-mail updates in a row from you stealthspy, 3 of which promoted Shareaza as a BT client. Surely this program can not be best for someone who is just after BT? They would have to put up with all the other stuff and search for the BT section. That along with people saying that BT is the worst part of Shareaza.

ABC is good, but I must admit Burst is the one that works best for me best speeds and control over the client, not the best GUI but hey Can't win em' all :P
