    Multiple Source Downloads for DC++

Reverse Connect is a P2P client. It uses DC++ as codebase and add below features :

secure user identification to anti leechers
    search by file hash
    multiple sources download simultaneously
    memory mapping files

    multi-source downloading is great...

but i don't think many people will buy into this in the world of DC(++)...

having upwards of a terabyte of shared files is becoming easier (and more common)

who wants to sit and wait to hash all those files?

The beauty is that it doesn't

it only does hashes of files you want, not the files that don't need to be hashed

    very cool

That's somthing to consider...I think that's about the only feature that I don't like on DC++, the fact that mulitsource downloading is not an option.

Can this work over top BCDC++? I like the added functionality of BCDC++ and don't want to lose it but would like to enjoy the feature of multi-source downloads.

    Yeah

i just wanted to see if it hashed everything, and it doesn't

someone else in the hub gave it the sign of approval, as i don't do public p2p, and nobody has anything i want anyway

What word on this from hub owners in general? Hating it, loving it, or banning ppl for it?

I gonna give try too, but gonna start hashing stuff in small doses since I have tons of avi files.

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".

    what can they do?

for all intents and purposes it's regular dc++

as for hashing, it doesn't hash your files at all--just the stuff you want

I used it yesterday DC++ and what I try to download wasn't downloading, I think is like WinMX Remote Queue. Everything and left it go for about 3 hour without 1 kB downloaded. I know how to search and I can see all the servers out there and can get a list of what they have but no downloads.

That's brilliant, I really like it. I didn't think this was ever going to be made possible. Thanks or pointing it out to me.
