    Sharing a Printer

    I need help, please guys/gals.

I am usually good with most technical questions regarding stuff within MS's OS's involved with networking, but now the situation arises and I am a bit stumped. Some help would be most appreciated. Here is the problem I have 2 pc's both hooked up to the same network same acess level etc, both run win2k. There is only one printer available in the room, I need to share the printer amongst the 2 cpu's in the room. It is a hp printer(desktop laserjet) and is already connected to one of the 2 pc's via USB cable. My problem now is how do I share the printer for the 2 pc's to use instead of just that one directly connected PC.

    TIA :)

on the computer where the printer is set up, right click on the printer and click Sharing...

Put the radio button to "Share this printer" give it a funky name, and go to the other computer and add a printer...when it asks, you want a network printer rather than a local printer. enter the \\computername\printersharename in the box, and you're good to go.

alos netgear or something makes extensions so you have it to a hub that then connects to two printers=) Just incase you have problems networking it up. But would you take advice from a person who has a screwdriver with power on to pc fetish =) Just kiddin! lol Let us know how if its working and if your good to go. Im sure cpugen wont mind drawing a diagram to diagnose any problems that occur!
