i think this person has no idea whoat newsgroups actually are, but while we are on the subject of programs, I agree with Slyck on its chose of NewsBin Pro, takes a little getting used to (as most newsgroups programs) but works very well and maxes out my conection all the time. You can download a trial version off of the site, and im sure some site can tell you how to *register* it.

Yes xnews is a great program if you have a good newssgroup previder. Anyone know of one free, I don't to pay anything more then what I paying for, because my local ISP news server has some message missing. I don't need all the group just if the group is there then all the message should be there, for about a week at most.

Your not gonna get a week with a free service, i dont know how long easynews keeps theirs but i heard its a good service. My isp usually has 3 or 4 days which is good enough for me

I use Grabit for newsgroups. Nice proggie. But it depends on your ISP as to what groups are available, and how long the files stay on the groups.

u have to mix and match and see which one is good for you

personally i use my internet providers news servers, but something might be there for ya.
