    I just noticed it for several days.
    Did it shut down or what happened to it.

    No clue, the DC++ site is still up. It may help you if you're looking to get on the network.


    edit - Scratch that. DC++ is among your "currently using" list.

    They commited suicide by forcing the .NET framework and ads on people

    i know i don't miss them

    they were supplanted by a far superior product

    neo-modus had no updates for about 2 years, and in that time DC++ gave users what they wanted

    by the time neo-modus did an upgrade, 90% of users had already moved to DC++ and its variants because they offered multi hub, better resource use, bandwidth limiting, auto search for alternate sources, match queue etc

    the neo-modus 2.0 offered these things, but shut out win 98 users , still had an ad banner, and forced the .NET framework on people to install

    no thanks

    even their hub has been replaced with yoshis hub and ptokax(even though ptokax hasn't updated in about a year), not to mention linux equivalents for hub and client
