    a tricky one to answer

hello. apologies for posting this here when its correct place is probably somewhere else but i have to find this thread again when i look for the replies(here's hoping there may be some).Aaaaanyway, what i wanted to ask was this.Erm...i'm not actually sure what this puter is running and other stuff like that but i'm pretty sure that its behind a firewall and that i dont have admin priviliges to install anything, although flash games seem to work which is kinda confusing cos whats the difference between installing something and dowloading and playing a game?.But i digress, what i really wanted to know was if anyone could suggest a chat thingy that would work with the set up currently on this machine .thank you in advance for your gems of knowledge and sorry about any spelling mistakes.

Describe what you mean. Do you mean that you try to download a game from a webpage or do you mean using a filesharing program?

Flash games on webpages don't (generally) install files on your computer. They just download into memory, and run. If you're trying to install a game you've downloaded, or off a CD, etc, it'll need to put files on your hard disk, and if you don't have priveliges to do that on your account, you won't be able to install the game.
