is there a feature in Word that will allow there to be a line showing the margins like in appleworks or openoffice.org. i think thatd be a nice feature, and i really dont know why i like it. if there is plz share. thanx
Under view, select "Print Layout". That will give you the rulers on the sides. Is that close to what you want? I've never used appleworks or openoffice
Don't think it will matter, but what version of office do you have?

no thats not really what i was talking about. its lines on the page that show where the margin is. so, u can see the whole page, but there is another line showing where text can be. btw, i have office xp.
If you have it check marked under: view - ruler you can see where the margins are, but I doubt that's what you mean either.
can you make a picture?

I think I know what you're talking about. I've never seen a feature like that in MS office. I've never had the need for it either, so I haven't really looked.
