Personally i think that the front page is for file sharing and the recent posts box ought to reflect that by not displaying the lounge posts. All it would mean would be a link to the view new posts could be added and people would just have to use that which i dont think is a big inconvience or a big deal.
Since last time some people got confused or cant read but this is not a poll to get rid of the lounge, nor is it a poll of getting rid of the recent posts. Its just a poll to see if the lounge posts should be displayed in the recent posts box on the front page as they are now or they shouldnt and that the recent posts should just have file sharing threads in it.
IF it aint broken, why fix it? =)
It wouldnt be "fixin" it. It would be improving it... That and it would target people would visit this site to view the forums more because people come to be file sharing site for file sharing.Originally Posted by shawners

I also use the "new posts" extensively along with the real "search button", but I'm still leaning toward not trying to hide anybody. If they want filesharing posts so bad they can post some.

I just see 8 or 9 posts on most filesharing topics and 5 or 6 pages on things filesharers actually enjoy.
It has long been a pet peve of mine that lounge threads are shown on the front page, often with titles that IMHO that are not suitable there. Similar to the requests to remove the T shirt girl for the same reason. I am not a prude, far from it, but I feel it will clean up the front page a bit.

Where is the problem? You think people interested in p2p issues do not want to see other things. Maybe I don't get it, but I can't help feeling this is a vendetta you have against certain users.
I am burned out on it anyway. I don't mean to sound like I'm taking it too personally but if this is not a forum where my kinds of topics are wanted then I'm certain I can find another.
