    virtual desktop utility

    Hi everyone,

Has anyone tried any virtual desktop utilities for windows?
If so, which one would you recommend?

i remember trying a bunch of virtual desktop utilities back in the day. but realistically, they all sucked. if you have an old monitor sitting around, and your video card can do it, i would just add a second monitor to your setup.

i think both nvidia's and ati's latest driver sets come with software that will allow you to create virtual desktops (i know ati's is called hydravision, but i've never used it)

A second monitor would be nice, but so far I'm just
    looking for a software solution.

The one from MS PowerToys is nice but slow

This one is fast but annoying since it's not in the taskbar.

I think I'll try out a few more.

Yes, both ATi and nVidia come with desktop managers. If you google it up, you can find plenty.
