Tip for Norton and Symantec Corporate Edition AntiVirus users; typically, Symantec releases a packaged update for consumption using LiveUpdate every Wednesday (some time in the afternoon usually) and whenever emergencies arise (such as the outbreak of MyDoom on a Monday). However, Symantec releases definition updates that are basically the same as the LiveUpdate versions but they are released virtually every weekday using what they call the Intelligent Updater. The routine for updating slightly differs between Norton and Symantec Corp. but they are fundamentally similar. There are lots of detailed articles for this at Symantec's knowledge base, but here are some good links:

All good information (above)...as I noted in another post..you can always check the 'calander of updates' each day to see the updates on most all anti-virus -spyware programs...the link is here:
