HALF LIFE 2
DOOM 3
NONE
BOTH
Well, looks like Valve couldnt keep to the Seph 30th release date... so it looks like both Doom 3 and Half Life 2 are to be released in 2004 at pretty much the same time, so which game would you rather get?
I don't think it was "they couldn't make the date", I think it was the fact that their source code was stolen and they needed to add more security to the online play.
I can't wait for either of them...although I know that they won't run on my computer well. My Ti4200 with all its overclocking glory won't be able to keep up.
Unreal tournament 2004 should be a good game, and it will run on my computer.

HL2 without any doubt.
I mean comeon look at the gaming possibilities with the realistic gravity and the way you can interact with your environment.
Besides look how long the regular half-life has been largely popular, about 5 years maybe?
And lets not forget the AI that can kick your ass in the game, its like no AI ever before.
Yea, definitly Half-Life 2. I mean, you get a story and physics. In Doom 3, you might get good looks and scared, but that's not always what I'm after.

Half life 2 looks pretty sweet to me. Doom 3 I donīt know about.

I tried the Doom 3 Demo, and let me tell you that game scared the bejesus out of me. I am not normally a freaked out person, and in fifteen years of playing games, I don't think I've ever come across a game with more atmosphere. I was looking around cormers at night and I put the Bible under my bed beside my baseball bat. I'm sticking with HL2.

yeah, i heard Doom 3 was gonna a pretty scary game.. thats why its gonna be 18+ the company are takin out some of the scary parts to make it 15 or 16+
Doom3 all the way. It's part of a gaming legacy, i recently grabbed a video for it from suprnova and it looks amazing. IMO this is a game to watch out for.
I have a bad feeling that HL2 is going to be a disappointment, i think it's got too much to live up to and i'm sure steam isn't going to help it either.
PS: Boo to steam
I dunno...if my computer gets it butt in gear (translation: upgrades), then i'll definitely be getting both. What better way to relax after HL2 by getting some sick scary eye candy on??
Neither of them ! Deus Ex:Invisible War all the way baby !!
Both, two classics. I like Doom better though.
I played Doom 1 and 2 and they were both good.
Half Life ...never really was a fan of half life, but i guess its alright.
I go with Doom 3.
i cant imagine grafix getting beter than max payne 2....im still blown away by that game but ill put my money on doom3
they say the graphics in Half Life 2 are most life-like in any game yet... that shows that its gonna be good... anyway i am gonna buy both of them anyway...
if i could run them, id get em both. but i am currently using a 766mhz celeron with a geforce 4 mx 440 PCI card. bah. i downloaded the e3 demo when it was leaked, and i got a wopping 4 (yes, FOUR) frames per second. granted it was an alpha, it was still pretty obvious that my pc would have problems with it.
