    Kilpsch speakers

    What do you think?

I'm thinking Christmas time means a new 5.1 surround sound system.

    Anyone have some Kilpsch?

Consider these Logitech® Z-680. Best reviewed so far. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?pa...9&languageid=1

I don't know much about speakers, but I know a few people with the Logitech ones and they're more than happy. I also know that in the stores whe you get to sample them, the Logitech ones sound the nicest.

klipsch are audiophile top of the line

they cost up to and above 7500 bucks a pair (the 5.1s are 300+, there's an ultra version too) lots of rave reviews

i'm sure they make logitech sound like banging a stick on a creamed corn can

I gotta agree with notbob on this one. Comparing Logitech vs. Klipsch is like comparing Mason de jardon's vs. Checker's----- just no comparison. In the mid-90's, before I got into computers big-time, I was heavily into high-fi's and the Klipsch was one of the 'holy grails' of of audiophile-quality speakers. At the same time, Logibleck was cranking out cheap, crappy pc mice and that's about it. They improved greatly in the mouse department, and made great strides in the pc speaker department as well, BUT..... there is still no comparison. Well, maybe Harman Kardon.... who have been making speakers for (Cr)apple lately. One other, Cambridge Soundworks, who was swallowed up and shat upon the back-alleys of the pc world by Craplative Labs was making great pc speakers also, but sadly, no longa. :( So, the moral of this story is this: when it comes to audio, don't be a wanker. Buy quality. (Klipsch)....
