Are you serious? You should really stop making polls with these laughable "best" contenders (okay, only Detroit Rock City is really funny). I think a poll is really not appropriate for this type of question. Just ask the question and let people answer.

Here is a better idea... take an established list of films that everybody thinks are good (such as these lists I am posting) and ask if you think they are correct, or perhaps which is their favorite off of the list.

    imdb.com Top 250 Films (top ten--http://imdb.com/top_250_films)

    1 Godfather, The (1972) 9.0/10 (80957 votes)
    2 Shawshank Redemption, The (1994) 8.9/10 (101896 votes)
    3 Godfather: Part II, The (1974) 8.8/10 (46766 votes)
4 Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The (2002) 8.7/10 (59292 votes)
    5 Casablanca (1942) 8.7/10 (47624 votes)
    6 Schindler's List (1993) 8.7/10 (70470 votes)
7 Shichinin no samurai [The Seven Samurai] (1954) 8.7/10 (19595 votes)
8 Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The (2001) 8.7/10 (106051 votes)
    9 Citizen Kane (1941) 8.7/10 (44638 votes)
    10 Star Wars (1977) 8.7/10 (101512 votes)

    AFI 100 Years 100 Movies (Top Ten--http://www.afi.com/tv/movies.asp)

    1. CITIZEN KANE (1941)
    2. CASABLANCA (1942)
    3. THE GODFATHER (1972)
    4. GONE WITH THE WIND (1939)
    5. LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (1962)
    6. THE WIZARD OF OZ (1939)
    7. THE GRADUATE (1967)
    8. ON THE WATERFRONT (1954)
    9. SCHINDLER'S LIST (1993)
    10. SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1952)

See... aren't these much better lists?

BTW: My favorite movie would have to be Lawrence of Arabia... Perhaps the only movie that is almost 4 hours long that makes the time feel like it is flying.

How can you miss Scarface? C'mon! Stop making polls about "bests." Not everyone likes the options you give.

I LOVE the Shawshank Redemption. I have an actual movie poster of it on my wall right now.

But I'd also give a nod to The Godfather and Scarface. And The Princess Bride. And The Thomas Crown Affair! That is a classic.
