Has anyone any idea why the server has been down for the last couple of days?

Apparently, it's due to server 'flooding'...so the ss forums say here. It's been driving everyone crazy for the past week now.

it just keeps going down, but the mods at the forums are dicks about telling us whats going on. I think its something to do with the serge in users and the "things i like" feacture.

Just I when I have a need to listen to an old I can't get on slsk. It's nearly always reliable on all those obscure songs.

No kidding...I was pretty bugged at first, but whatever. ss server downtimes are common, but never to this extent. I haven't been able to connect all day. Tweaked everything possible, still nada.

..meaning no disrespect for slsk...while they are having server probs...try Filetopia.
Similar functioning program.... with privacy/safety features as well.
In need of more users.

whew thank god im not the only one having this prob, i thought that seeing as how i had just qued up a bunch of stuff it was all to perfect for SS to stop working. well atleast im not the only one

soulseek has some really good quality full albums but it is so damn buggy and the server seems to be down a lot.

why do people constantly praise slsk, its the sudden popularity for this average client thats caused the server to go down, and have a serge in pop tunes

when it goes down, check to see if a new version is out at www.soulseek.cc , there's always a new version out when ever it quits working for me
