When are elections are held for the senators and the other politicians?
It seems they are in office forever.
Senators have 6 year terms. Every two years new senators are elected. This keeps a decent rotation.
Presidents are every 4 unless bad stuff happens.
Someone lemme know if I'm wrong, I'm just going by what I remember from school.

For elections in the US are general they are usually i think the first tuesday in november.(which is today if your area is having elections not everyone does)
Then there might be an election in the spring usually local elections.
On the national level the terms of office.
President- 4years
US Senators-6 years
US Representatives- 2 years
usually the same for the state governments too.
this is an international forum. Which country are you talking about?
This is a file sharing forum. This isnt a "international forum" because nationality isnt an issue, except by the very few people who makes it an issue.Originally Posted by method77
no, this is an international filesharing forum. Forgot to add "file sharing". So, which country are we talking about?
Was it so bad that I asked?
It's actually the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November. The only time it isn't the 1st Tuesday of the month is when the month starts on Tuesday.Originally Posted by Sephiroth

No, in fact i edited my post to make it clear that it was about the US.Originally Posted by method77
Your trying to define what this forum is and its not correct because your making bigger deal about nationality than it really is. The real focus of this forum is file sharing because its the zeropaid forums and ultimately complements the main site therefore it covers all the issues that a portal site would, international file sharing is not really an accurate classification of this forum. Because your assuming that there is such a thing as domestic file sharing which since there is no such thing is another reason why international file sharing is inaccurate.
ok but the subject of this thread is elections. I never ask nationalities when the subject is filesharing.

This means next year for House Representatives, the Prez and (perhaps) a Senator or two (if you are lucky!). There are many election links that you can find through google. Just ask and ye shall find.

To be fair I always thought Jelsoft was German ('cos I thought that's where the N1 track is and I guessed "kero!" is german).
If that's the case then talking about American elections wont be helping.
Mind you, I didn't think Germans had senetors.
I'm not really malicious. I'm a nice guy.

I wonder how much people outside of the United States feel threatened by the RIAA or the MPAA, and how it affects their file sharing habits differently compared to those who are DOMESTIC FILE SHARERS.Originally Posted by Sephiroth
That doesnt matter and domestic/international file sharing still doesnt exist. P2P has no nationality just like air.Originally Posted by eclectica
People in most other countries have their own RIAA/MPAA clone organizations. They might sit back and think that its just an american problem but its not and if you look at the actions that non US countries and trade organizations have taken that most people now realize that if it can happen in the US then it can happen anywheres.
man, this whole situation started because I asked what country this dude meant. Ok Sephiroth. If I make a thread and ask what the weather will be like tomorrow, don't dare asking where cause i'll tell you , " P2P has no borders, it's an international thing". Even if the subject is about the weather.
Now please, get this thread back to topic.
Hopefully the election next year will bring about a new set of Congressmen who are willing to revoke the DMCA 1998. Yet despite there being 60 million file sharers, it is not a prominent issue. There's not enough death and destruction in it.
This brings up a question I have, which is, why it is that WinMX is located in Canada and not the United States.
