    mpg file splitter

I just got a tv capture card, and have got a few good kids programs for my children. However, I'd like to find an app capable of letting me cut the 4-5 minutes of commercials out from in between episodes. Can anyone recommend an mpg file splitter?Preferably freeware.

All I have for splitting files is Virtualdub and it can't do it.

heh. Indeed I already have, but the first result put me off the idea. It is an mpeg splitter apparently, but the site name is activitylogger.com.

Maybe I'll try it and just run it through the spyware/viral hoops.

    Anybody have any other suggestions?

You can cut mpeg files with TmpgEnc. It shows you what frame you end with. Works good for me and it's free.

Grab TMPGENC freeware version works unlimted mpeg-1 encoding and limited mpeg-2 encoding(as freeware), Awesome program in my ideals. grab it go to file MPEG tools and there you add the file split it where you please..in a few minutes you're done. the program can also join mpeg's if needed to do so. Full version costs money.

    Grab it from Here

I use a program called easy video splitter. Very easy to use, use google to find it, or you can find it full version on kazaa if you so desire. :;)
