    is overnet safe

I just downloaded overnet, and I'm using it to download a game. I want to know is it safe, or can I be busted from my isp for using it?

I've used overnet for a long time now and never heard anything from my isp and i let it run 24/7. Just be careful of what you download.

just like with any other p2p app using overnet is taking a risk witch you do with any other p2p network that contains copyrighted material. So don't be paranoid you're ISP wont actually care unless they get letters claiming certain things happend and on and on, a highly unlikely situation. And welcome to ZP!

there is no such thing as a "safe" p2p app. you cant betargeted by the riaa or mpaa because they only deal in movies and music and you are downloading a game. theres only a one in a few million chance that you could get in trouble for this, so go for it.

The chance you will be caught is minimal. Think of all the people that are on Kazaa at any given time. Let's say 4 million. Of 4 million, there have been, what, 1100 total? That's a dismal percentage. And that 4 million is just the part of FT that you happen to be on.

I think we're giving the security issues more coverage than they merit.
