Angry Your tax dollars going straight to the RIAA

I'm assuming Penn State is a public college, which means that it is funded by the State government. College tuitions have been increasing at a double-digit rate for the past 4 years and families are struggling to keep up with costs, and begging the government for more college funding. So why the hell is part of this college funding now going to the RIAA??? My tax money was supposed to support higher education. It was NOT supposed to be a payoff to the RIAA so that they won't sue some student who's downloading the lastest Eminem album without paying.

There are alot of fringe groups and organizations that get some funding from my university, I can't believe some of the filth they spew, but they get money from the taxpayers so this doesn't suprise me at all.

They cant burn cd's, they can stream them and transport them. How long you think before they crack it, or have to update it and patch it?? These kids are highly intelligent, they already got our tax dollars paying their music, and their getting it all for free.

Hey, I am not happy with some of the stuff my tax dollers are going to on both state and federal level (not gonna get into it here), but that's life and politics for ya.

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".

    the riaa is corrupt.
your tax dollars pay for war etc. thats just the way it goes. thats life.
polotics are sort of blah sometimes because ultimately its going to happen either way.

withe regard to polotics and such thats what it goes down to.
debates etc are good but what it all stems down to is a power trip.

hmm the best way to get your tax dollars back is file share. peace
