I liked the original game enough to check out the sequal..Just Started playing this game..I was wondering what you all thought about the new game pluses and minuses?...is it me or do you think that this game should have been an expansion pack to the original since so many things that are the same in them..Speak you're mind ;)

like honestly, who does that?!?!
I have yet to try it...I'm hoping to aquire it later tonight or tomorrow.
The graphics didn't look too much better than the first one, but I heard one of the major changes is facial expressions. They're not all frowning to make the faces look scary. The originals graphics were pretty impressive, so I'm not complaining.
I think I saw a new gun with a scope...very cool.
The biggest thing besides bullet time that the original had, was a great plot and storyline. The comic book style cutscenes were a nice artistic touch and really different from past games.
Can't wait to try it...I'm almost done with SOF2, I need a new single player game.
Btw, hows it run (give system specs if possible). My Ti4200 has been great to me in the past, but I don't know if I can crank it all the way up with this game...even with overclocking.

There is the new Havok Physics engine implemented on everything here in the game.
The graphics are more detailed and higher resolution textures than the previous Max Payne.
Bullettime 2.0 has been implemented as well. The more enemies you shoot, the faster you will beable to move around and it boosts your bullettime even more.
Lots of gameplay here. Instead of running around shooting everything, you can get people to team up with you and you can protect some people as well.
I have the game right infront of me but cant play it cause I have a Nvidia Ti4200, which is not direct 9x hardware :( . Oh well, I'll have to wait a few weeks to get my new card.
I know how you feel Dswissmiss, it seems like just the other day that this computer was the fastest money could buy with all the bells and whistles. I probably couldn't sell it for scrap now.
I'm stuck in one of those never ending waits for prices to stop falling now.
I'm not really malicious. I'm a nice guy.

im actually looking to sell it for around 70, and found a ati 9600pro oem for 150...so it doesnt look to bad, but yeah, gaming rigs get really expensive with all the constant upgrading.
I played the game last night and it's absolutely amazing. Everything from the
music, to the gameplay to the graphics has gotten better. I specially like the
dark story and tone of the MP2.
Might just be the best single player game of the year. :)
NB. Interesting how old Max has gotten, yet his voice hasn't changed at all...
You HAVE to have a DX9 card? Not according to the minimum system reqs on their webpage. Minimum is a 32meg AGP card. I've never seen a DX9 card with less than 64meg

Ask smart questions!
Did you update the drivers? You should be able to play it just fine without having to buy a new video card which is foolish to do if you have a geforce 4 ti.Originally Posted by Dswissmiss

The Squirrels are your friend man!
what I thought was really kool was that the pc got exclusive release of the game beofre any other console(3 months or so)...makes me happy usually PC gets games last at bat..any idea why PC got it first???

like honestly, who does that?!?!
Would it run on an Athlon 1.24ghz, 512 Ram, ATI 9000 (w/ latest drivers?) I know I exceed the min. specs, but I don't think DirectX9 was made for the 9000. Or does it matter since my card supports hardware transform & lighting?
Hmmm... ?
more to the poiunt would it work on a
p3 450 mhz, 16 meg voodoo banshee with 512 ram
