    Movies from hard drive

    I have a movie on my hard drive that I believe is an mpeg file. I know how to back up DVDs using the various utilities out there, i.e....smart ripper, IFO Edit, etc, etc. This movie will play from my hard drive but I have trouble burning it to a DVD R+. Will I have to re-author it or something, in order for it to burn correctly? Any advice is greatly appreciated...TIA!
