    Windows 98? No comment.
Actually I will. I don't like to complain about the software that people use - each for their own. Thats the point in having a choice. But Win98 is like 6 years old now. In human terms thats 97. It should be dead except for a few.
Actually its up to you. I'm sure you have your reasons.

That is exactly my point rainbowdemon. OSs lifecycles are much faster than Humans, just likes dogs.
Win98 isn't supported anymore and is less stable than WinXP. The only benfit to Win98 is the network neighbourhood lists computers by defualt, where WinXP lists a bunch of folders in a totally disorganised fashion unless everyone on the network agrees to a standard. That is until you hit "View Network Computers", but that is one more mouse click. I just thought - perhaps that could be solved by changing the special folder in TweakUI...
This really is an argument I didn't mean to get into. As I said, each for their own.

Diskeeper is much faster than the standard Win98 SE defrag program. On average it takes about 15 minutes to defrag the HDD with diskeeper where as it takes 3 hours with the standard defrag program.
