    avi to svcd

    ok my problem is i've got farscape episodes in avi format and i want to convert them to svcd so i can watch on dvd.I've been to http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ (awsome site) but the how to guides an converting avi to svcd seem a little to complicated (for me anyway).what i want to know is can someone please tell me a easy to use avi to svcd coverter or avi to mpeg converter.much thanks to all those that can help.

    I think Nero can do this on the fly, same with easy cd creator. I've also heard that you won't get the best quality from those programs, and that an external converter like Virtualdub would be better.

    use this tool at http://www.tmpgenc.net/ it's too easy to use. Practice with small size avi first to get some idea.

    If you are ready to do some more, here's another guide to fitting a movie on one CD using TMPGEnc.
    http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/84759.php (I tried this many times and it works. Just skip other steps if you don't need it)
