is there a way to enhance 22khz sound files?

Hey, I'm wondering if there's a way at all to enhance 22khz sound files a little bit. Unfortunately a lot of great computer games are in this format and none other. I'm not expecting miracles, but I thought there might be some sort of program that could analyze it and maybe make educated guesses as to what might sound better at 44khz.

I'd have to give a short answer of no. You could absolutely take that 22 KHz and redo it to 44 KHz, you would actually lose quality.
