    Shareaza 1st...

Then it's Gnucleus,Xolox & AquaLime (LimeWire) in that order.

    aqyalime

I seem to get best results with aqualime, but have xolox, shareaza and gnucleus. Just the others don't seem as solid as aqualime in regards to getting good results and good download speed all the time.

I have been using gnucleus for a long time and always liked it till I used aqualime. the problem with limewire or aqualime is that some people seem to feel that java is not so good. And actually all versions of limewire or aqualime are not the same. Some of the older versions use less resources and are more efficient.

I am using aqualime version 231 retro with java runtime 131 and from trying the newer versions this combo works real good, makes gnutella seem almost like another network, it really is fast and efficient.

I think the older version of aqualime is still available at unitethecows.com and you can run both versions of java but if you want to run 131 with aqualime I heard it's best to install 131 first.

    I use in this order:

    1. Shareaza
    2. Gnucleus
    3. XoLoX
    4. Limewire
    5. Ares

Hmm that seems to be the same as yours Crazy Horse. No coincidence - that's the way it should be. Those are the best clients in that order.

I tried ares and it is just a gnutella version of kazaa. it has basically the same interface. and i will not support anything remotely related to something as evil as kazaa. also, i dont get why everyone like gnucleus, i think the interface is bad and it isnt as fast as xolox. Does aqualime have spyware cuz i know limewire does?

NO!Aqualime is made so you can have limewire WITHOUT spyware and adware!

You can also use freewire which has a more recently updated version of limewire and it does ask you to install spyware but you can exclude it ^_^
