Nuendo 2.0

Have any of the non-noobs ever heard of this program NUENDO 2.0? I have heard it is like the ultimate in WAV processing and production software. Can anyone speak good or bad of it?

I won't answer because you aren't the real MacGyver. The real one could create Nuendo 2.0 out of three matchsticks, a fishing hook, a dead hamster and some aluminum foil. ;)

I had a quick look to see what the other 70 posts were like, but he doesn't seem to be in any of the threads the search finds?? I searched by username.

EDIT: Wait, I think i pressed the wrong button!
EDIT2: Yes I did. His posts have always been weird, but not annoying. One of his more amusing posts:

Wow i wish i knew how to right click and hit "save image as" on some of the copy restricted images. I have been using the print screen key with adobe photoshop to save those and its just a pain in the butt.

He's there. I searched him before I ripped him. He's tech-oriented and cares only about tech and P2P. Nothing wrong with that, but today he's been obnoxious in every thread I've seen him in....control freaking today.

noobs are useless, every post is about "kazaa fake files?" or "why do my songs have screetching sounds".. I want intellegent users to respond to my post. (like krell/cpugen....ect..ect..)

I do care about Tech & P2P. Thats what zeropaid is supposed to be about. Why not keep the "war in iraq" threads on cnn.com? Its very aggrivating when you want important P2P and tech news and all you see is the constant cheese in the forums.

This is not a site specifically made for you. There's something here for everyone. But if you make a post, anybody can repsond to it. If you only want to speak with certain people, PM them and talk all day on Instant Messenger.

I won´t get into the polemics of "noobness" or "non-noobness" here.

Anyway, as for Nuendo, it really depends on what kind of work you wish to do...
You heard of Cubase SX, right? Well, Nuendo is basically the same (they´re both developed by the same company, Steinberg), but with extra video capabilities and 5.1 surround mixing..so it´s actually more apropriate for "Media" production. If you only intend to work with audio, I´d go for Cubase SX 2.0, which is coming out now...you won´t really need the extra stuff if you´re going for music production.

But don´t take my word for it...go here and make up your own my mind.

About 3 months ago, I got heavily into music production, and believe me, 3 months is a very small amount of time to really become technically good at it, but I´ve already come to the conclusion that I don´t care much for Steinberg´s stuff (execpt the XPhraze VST instrument, and tge Wavelab audio editor)). The workflow involves sifting through too many menus and "not really useful" options and setups, getting in the way of something that is essentially a creative process.

I could be here all day talking about my gear, but I´ll tell you some programs you should try :
- FL Studio (formerly Fruity Loops)...not a "toy" anymore, believe me.
- Tracktion : very cheap sequencer and VST host, does everything Cubase does and is way easier and cheaper.
- Ableton Live : great for working with loops.
- Novation´s V-Station and Bass-station VST synths.
- Z3ta+ VST synth.
- Phatmatik Pro : Beat-slicer and sampler
- TC Works plug-in effects
- PSP Vintage Warmer (a reproduction of various analogue amps)
- Linplug RM IV : drum sampler and synth.
- Steinberg Xphraze : phraze sequencer
- every Ohmforce effects plug-in.

This is what I use, but I´m into electronic music production...people with different goals will use different stuff.

I'm afraid that is the nature of this forum (that we discuss lots, not that it is cheesy). We discuss all sorts of things here, not just p2p. You wont be able to change that.
