    overnet

Has anyone used overnet with .net, by using the command line client?
Just curious and wanted to see if it went well.

Seems like it might be worth trying, at least installing .net is not required with the CLC version of overnet.

Not only do you not have to install .net, you could also design your own graphical frontend for it in VB or whatever language.

    Not another one

What's the problem with .Net anyway? Wait don't tell me: You already have enough M$ crap on your machine, right? Wrong. .NET is probably one of the few things M$ has done right in recent times, so I'd recomment you bite the bullet and set it up.

The OverNet GUI client is currently running most sweetly, and the network as a whole is simply fantastic. The userbase is only in the low thousands and yet its speed is already astounding.

I think it's time for a dedicated forum...

Why its just the next verison of e-donkey so it will just take over this forum.. Maybe change the name if they stick with overnet which im still wondering why they would give the program a network kind of name but since its from the same people that named the orginal cilent e-donkey 2000 im not that surprized..

Anyways the forum could be renamed to E-Donkey/Overnet

The people who wine about .net are a bunch of babies. They think just becuase it is microsoft they shouldn't use it even though they are probably the best and most reliable developers.
There is absoloutly nothing wrong with .net, get over it!:devil

Overnet is a good client, the rest of the e-donkey network needs to use it, i dont know why they aren't already, you dont have to wait ages to connect like you do with e-donkey.

Will you please just stop this, Seph?? It is NOT, and that's FINAL. Check for yourself at www.edonkey2000.com and quit muddying the already torrid waters of the ON/ED debate, ok?

What's with you man, OverNet bite your kitten or something? Jeez!
