Ok, we all understand what they are trying to do to all of us whom enjoy to share. But, one question I do have is. Why can't we just band together and stop buying cd's all together, also, who is affiliated with this group? In other words, what record labels, what muscians, ect... The reason I ask, is b/c the interenet is a very powerful source, especially when we have such easy access to email. Greed is the source of all evil. And, as citizens of one united nation we can stop them.

it's not as simple as you think for various reasons most people don't care for the group fight against the riaa, some of these are hard-core sharers. Some are people who not only leech (but leech on every program) the only program i think leeching is reasonable on is kazaa, if u leach on someone else u are some bastard i know subpoenas are moving to new networks but at what rate?

Well anyways this thread will be closed. most people have stopped buying cd's but the riaa doesn't know were boycotting them, they think we stopped buying because of free music on p2p, that's not the case. I still buy dvd's cuz the mpaa doesn't get all up in my face. and if it makes the mpaa feel better i delete movies i don't keep and sharethem after watching i delete them.

EXACTLY.... know if that was the case with the RIAA, for instance we share music and they said "Its great promotion" I bet everyone would buy music.

Take an example of a teenager.

A mother tells the teen to do something, something that he was already doing.

Since the teen doesnt like to be told what he should or shouldnt do, he does exactly what his mother tells him not to.
