    Question Skype questions

Well I tried out Skype a moment ago and it is pretty neat. It buries Yahoo in voice chat capabilies as it does not enable people to cut each other off, is MUCH most stable than Yahoo by far, sounds alot more clear, and doesn't have a giant ad. The only reason why I haven't uninstalled Yahoo Messenger yet is because I cannot figure out how to have multiple people in a conversation. The only reason I do use Yahoo is because of that. I love having conversations with multiple people, and if this has that ability then there is no more need for Yahell.

Let's go over it one more time...
    Reasons I like it:

    - Stable
    - Clear
    - No way to cut each other off
    - No ads

Questions about certain aspects of it:

    - Is there a way to have 3 or more way calling ?
    - Is there better software out there that offers exactly what I am looking for ?

Thanks and I look forward to your views and opinions on this interesting application.

For multiple person voice applications, there are few choices. Paltalk is free but they use banners and popups which are very annoying and if you want the better feature (streaming video) it ain't cheap. There is also Liive but I didn't like it and haven't used it for awhile. If you have an extra pc you can set up a teamspeak server which is decent for voice but is only soso for playing music. Another program similar to teamspeak is ventrillo but again if you don't run a server you're stuck on the public servers.

I ran across another program called teamtalk which seems to let you run the server over a local system if you have a fairly beefy system. I haven't had the time to try it yet but it looks pretty cool and seems to use few resources. You can read about it here: http://www.bearware.dk/

Skype is still a Beta, some of the features they list don't work now..like Call Waiting..it just says the User is Busy.
It is a good simple program though..
