What's going on with Soulseek? has the RIAA or someone else shut it down? Was probably the best p2p service I've found since Audiogalaxy went bad.

with this version you can connect to the network Download
in case you cant figure out what the problem is, soulseek is having DNS server problems. the consiquence is that when your computer asks for the IP address of soulseek.com, no one has it. so your computer cannot connect to soulseek. however, there is an easy way around this. you need to edit your hosts file and put in those for entries that Kooperman listed. ill assume that you are using some form of NT (2000 or XP). to edit your hosts file, open notepad. go to file > open > then find C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc > open HOSTS (no extention) then scroll down to the very bottom and paste in those four entries that kooperman gave. then save the file and soulseek should now work.
what if there is no host files

Yes it's essentially the same way. The file format is shown in a file in your windows directory called hosts.sam, do a search on your pc to see if you already have a file called "hosts."Is there anyway to do this for windows 98 se?
Here is more information about the file.
