Connecting 2 the net after resuming from hibernation

    Hello

I use XP pro with SP1 with almost no problems. Recently, i discovered something bit strange so i 'll post it here thinking that someone has got the same problem and solved it

I usualy like to hibernate the PC but when i resume from it and connect to the net with my dialup modem, the connection is established but with almost no data flowing to/from the internet !!! - This has nothing 2 do at all with the ISP or the internet coz it is related to the situation in which i resumed from hibernation and when i restart my PC and connect again, everything goes OK. I just noticed this problem after every resume from hibernation so why ? and how 2 overcome it ? (coz i like hibernating the machine )

Microsoft: Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. At one time when I would take my computer out of stanby the connection would sometimes become lost so what i ended up doing was disabling the connection then re-enabling it in the "Network Connections". Although now, my computer doesn't seem to want to go into stanby anymore. Just chalk it up as Microsoft software issues.

It may be Microsoft Windows, but did you also check your computer's memory & battery?

It's probably "addressed" in one of the many Windows XP patches.

Check the Microsoft website. If i can remember, there is a fix that you can download for that, but check the website first. I comes under the updates.
