OK, I have a Mozilla Firebird question. The image below shows the "Image Manager" located.
Tools>Options>Web Features>permissions
Now, the browser (via right click) allows for the blocking of images from selected servers. When an image is blocked, the server address appears in the "Image Manager" as a URL.
What I'd like to know is, where are these values stored? What I'd like to do is SELECTIVELY block images from a server.
For example:
Take
http://www.fuckingshit.com
There is only one image I'd like to block from fuckingshit.com, and it's located at
http://www.fuckingshit.com/ads/annoy...tupidimage.gif
Mozilla Firebird's "image manager" does NOT allow me to manually enter a specific, and only allows the blocking of ALL images from a certain server.
So it would be nice if these values (URLs listed in "image manager") were stored somewhere where I could edit them. Perhaps this is the case and someone knows? Thats what i'm hoping. (I plan on maybe asking at their forums later, but I just wanted to run this by my fellow ZP members).
As a side note, I would just like to point out that I have used software that can do this, specifically "Adshield", but thats for IE ONLY.
Perhaps someone has some recommendations for software that allows this kind of selective blocking, but at the same time
isn't
A bloated piece of shit
and is
B. Preferably free (not required; I am a P2P user afterall......heheheh)
Yes, i'm sure the topic of ad-blocking tools has been discussed on Zeropaid, but it's a tougher thing to search for, being that "ad" is only 2 characters long, and the search function can be about as useful as a 3-legged race horse at times.
Besides, I haven't seen a thread like this in a while.

I think firebird stores its settings under windows/application data or some variant on that.
I use agnitum firewall and can block individual ads or photos and it is freeware.
ahh....well the proxomitron web filter can do that, and a lot more too :D
get it here - http://www.proxomitron.info/
Reply back with your results.
all over that url... who would have thought that it would be unused?
I was wanting to see what you wanted blocked, but no...
"There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17... I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice… The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd."
Hmm, i've always been intrigued by proxomitron, although I do have some reservations about it slowing down surfing a bit (it acts like a proxy between you and the internet from what i've heard).
Perhaps this is false or at least a nominal thing?
Maybe i'll give it a try.

Thanks collideous, those are some nice links (they have been bookmarked).
I've just decided to give proxomitron a go and see what happens (so far i'm pleased).
If it fails me in some way, I may refer back to those links though.
