Hi
I am right now confused so much coz every multimedai file extension needs a program which i have 2 grab from net e.g. when i wanted 2 play .ra files, i was forced to get real player while i dont't like it really. Nowadays i am stucked with .mov video files which refused by windows media player 9.0 to play it !!! (although this is the latest version ?!) so now i am forced 2 get quick time :(
Isn't there any way to get a unified nice program 4 opening all sound and video files ????? i know about "Blaza Media Pro" but i think it will be resourse intensive - is there any program similar to it but without being bloatware ? thx so much

Maybe you can download codec's for Win Media Player? I don't see why it won't play .mov
P2P is cool....But P3P.. Oh boy!!
wmp dosent play .mov files u need quicktime player with it, and similarly u need real audio player for its extension......
but the real problem is the spyware bumdled with these softwares.....thankfully you can use real and quicktime alternatives......they work just fine.

i would also suggest you download spybot of you dont already have it..... http://security.kolla.de/
Hi
Thx for the reply. i already have spybot but what about the codecs u pointed me to ?!!! - don't this sound like the same problem i am complaining already in this post?. I mean that i already went to the site codecs u have given me but what did i see is a codec (usually with lots of megabytes) for every video extension !!!!! - anyway i wanna ask, do all these codecs insist on making their own interface to use it or they just install themselves in order to let u enjoy playback thru the "WIndows Media Player" already installed in all of our PCs without the need to use this or that graphical user interface???
My final aim is to help media player 9.0 to play *all formats" instead of getting lots of megabytes of programs for each file extension ?!

If your having problems finding out what codec you need for a particular file try, GSpot.

Media Player classic can play Real Media files and quicktime files (specifically .mov) but in order to play quicktime files with Media Player Classic, you have to have a version of quicktime installed. This is ditto for Real Media. You must have a version of that installed (I recommend Real Player 8 basic, stay far away from Real One).

You can't triple stamp a double stamp.
it can be a hassle, i have four media file players.. And i figure out which ones work best with which program and do a file association so it only plays that file. Divx player, winamp, real time, windows media player(Gag)
