How Do You Do This????

can anyone tell me how to save streaming videos and music from websites to the harddrive? i'm talking about the trick with the internet cache and the temporary internet items folder. i asked once before on zeropaid and no one who knew replied. now i know someone knows how to do it because it's not a big secret on how to do it supposedly. i have streambox but i'd rather know how to do the cache trick instead.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

asf recorder is what i use to download windows media audio streams (i believe is asx extention)

I used to use this also, it only works with WMP 6.4.
I now have XP with WMP 8, I didn't want to download WMP 6.4 so I don't use it anymore.
