Yes!
No, it is slowly dying.
It would be if the Torrent sites could stay up.
ok, what does everyone think? I think it has been extremely dead for a month or more because of all the torrent sites going down, trackers, etc... Seems no files are seeded anymore. I remember when the matrix reloaded came out, I was getting 300 KB/s and the seed count was above 400.
Seems dead to me. Supernova was the last good site and I was lucky enough to get some of the older stuff off there before it crapped out altogether. The police are just too hot on BT and underground is the future
EDIT; well i see supernova is back, just when i thought it was dead for sure

Yeah, I'd say it still is. I use it everyday.
Luckily the the two sites I use are always up.
Bit torrent is still very popular and i use it much more than any other P2P app
For instance... a certain movie based on some comic book ppl... :P had over 1000 leechers and over 100 seeds.
thats been like it for a week and i got it pretty fast
Another very popular Sci Fi Film was released a few weeks ago and that was done over night maxed my connection (512k/256k)
suprnova is still going (just have to find a good mirror)
bytemonsoon.net is alright
digital update is coming along very nicely
F vs J had over 3000 leeches in less than a day on Suprnova
Bittorrent lives on
The numbers of new movie torrents have been winding down (for obvious reasons) but I can still find a lot TV episodes and anime on torrent sites. I think it really depends on the content that the site offer.

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".
BT goes fast if your client can receive incoming connections. People who don't know how to configure their firewall or portforwarding in their router chug along.
BT is still cool for anime and TV torrents, but I can't see it staying popular for movies to much longer. It's just to open to the authorities.
which is the best bit torrent site now?
Well................
A. Not secure by any stretch of the imagination
B. Torrent sites can't stay up for shit
C. It is one of the primary targets of the RIAA/MPAA (ties in with #1).
Adios BT.
You can't triple stamp a double stamp.
torrent sites are going to be roving sites (ones that are up for a bit then shut down) with the better ones getting so many mirrors thier lasting power will be extended. However even tons of mirrors is not a complete solution (as we all saw of suprnovas troubles, all mirror related) In the end tho I do see it as becoming more like direct connect with private sites and torrents being more common as scrutiny increases:shy
It still seems OK to me, admittedly i have only started using it in the last month, so I cant compare it to what it used to be like.
i havent used it in a while, mainly because some of the albums (when they appear) i havent been able to start a download. But im sure bit torrent will live on as a pillar of the p2p community
i am Dr. Moreau
www.beatking.com ..only for cool and popular kids!
Suprnova is still pretty good. Bytesmonsoon was good before it went down for a while, but now its mostly has porn torrents.Originally posted by ferrarimodena360
