Limewire & Shareaza not connecting

im having trouble with limwire and shareaza connecting, i have a cable connection, i use lots of other porgrams and ive never had this problem before do you think its my firewall?
i use zonealarm pro.

Either you didnt allow either program to access the net and act as a server through zone alarm.

Did you recently get cable?

no actually ive had cable for over a year now, its never given me any trouble other than the slow speeds when there is alot of ppl on.

did you click the thingy on za pro when it asked you if you wanted to grant them access to the net?

Not only did you just repost my first sentence but then you made that remark. So you have added nothing to value of this thread and thus your the real noob which isnt dependant on post counts or how long you've been here.

What does the connection screen on limewire look like? Is is connection to the host cache and its not connecting to any hosts are is trying to connect to different hosts over and over. Or is it that it cant connect to the hostcache or gwebcache at all.

Try disabling zonealarm and seeing if it will connect then also.

yea, you really kicked my ass. stop trying to get on me. i repeated you. god forgive me.

and since you aren't a n00b, have you checked port numbers? if limewire still uses 6346, your isp might be blocking it. try something stupid, like "534"... just type in 3 random numbers. or something. you get the idea.
